So Gemma, Chimane and I decided we’d go for a nice pub lunch after our lectures yesterday. We went to The Adelphi, a great pub on campus that is ace for students and ended up spending most of the afternoon there 🙂
It was lovely to have a nice chill out with the girlies and I love going to pubs. They are one of the best places to people watch, as Gemma caught me doing on the last shot, and I love the smell and the chatter. It’s really strangely relaxing 🙂
So this was taken on the 16th of March, otherwise know as my birthday!! I was 19 and had a great day 🙂 I also got the ring flash that I’ve always wanted!! I went out that night with my parents for a meal, which was yummy spicy Mexican food, and went out round town with my university friends the night before.
This balloon was given to me along with my presents by my two wonderful friends, Kelly and Reshma, who took me out for a Chinese. They got it because the characters are actually us! Reshma is Princess Jasmine, Kelly is Snow White and I’m Sleeping Beauty 🙂
All in all the three days were wonderful and a perfect way to spend my birthday 🙂
My my, i don’t half have some catching up to do on here! It’s been hectic recently and I just haven’t had time to upload! I’ve still been documenting though, so not all is lost 🙂
I was completely bombarded a few days ago, as I was heading to the library, by a bunch of lads promoting their friend. There are elections on at the moment in uni and this group had chalked all over the floor, were wearing T-shirts with the guys face on them and generally trying to convince us to vote for him. Despite the noise and the fact it delayed me from getting to the library and out of the cold, I found them really rather friendly and entertaining. They didn’t mind me taking a picture at all, in fact I think they were rather pleased, and they left me with a smile on my face before carrying on and heading off to do my work 🙂
I’ve got some catching up to do again -.- it’s been do busy recently, but I’ve still been shooting everyday, so that’s good 🙂 Anyway, these are two shots I took the other day in my favourite cafe on campus, the Equator Cafe. They were sat on the couch opposite me and I just had to take a picture of them both as they looked very friendly and I liked their clothes. Only problem was, they were German. Anyway, after breaking out what German I knew, and they with their English, we finally understood each other and I was allowed to take their picture. They were both really nice and friendly and it just reminded me of the fact that if you just take the time to talk to someone, it is often a pleasant surprise to realise that on the whole, people are really very nice 🙂
I’ve just noticed how well this follows on from my previous post my brother painting :p How neat 🙂 Well, this is me painting for my brother as well, as this is his room. It’s needed doing for ages, so here I am getting it done. As you can see, I am absolutely tiny. I’m 5’1 and I’m having to sit on one of the high kitchen stools to even get this far, so unfortunately I couldn’t finish it off and Dad had to come in and take over the high bits. He missed bits though, so I’m just going over and neatening things up here 🙂 It was really enjoyable, I love painting. I was also listening to the IPod that was the the soundtrack to my high school years obscenely loud so that was great too xD
This my little brother Gareth, or Razz/Razzer as I call him. Don’t ask me why I call him those names, I can’t remember when or how they actually came about :p Anyway, he’s an incredible artist with such a weird, unusual style and is almost never not drawing or painting something. This is normally how I find him when I come home from university, sat at the table surrounded by his art stuff and just wacking out something so bonkers and awesome easy as you like. It amazes me. So I thought it’d be nice to capture him in his art mode and show a sneak peak of a section of his latest piece 🙂
Finally, I have caught up!! These are from the very funny car journey I had with my mum and brother on the way home from uni. In the first images you can just about make out the fact that, as he was too hot, my brother decided it would be a great idea to take his top of and stick his head out of the window as we were driving fast down the motorway. Needless to say he got a few very funny looks and he cooled down quickly :p Me and Mum were in hysterics as he looked like a dog with it’s head out the window!
The next image is Mum singing an dancing to Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton. Well, I say singing and dancing. More like screeching and waving her arms. It was hilarious to watch though, I wish I’d recorded it xD
